Leaflet published by ‘Yes for Scotland’ in 1979 to encourage people to vote yes in the March 1979 Referendum.

This leaflet is part of a new donation to the Scottish Political Archive. The archive is actively collecting material and would welcome donations on a wide variety of topics. However, we are particularly keen to receive material like this relating to the devolution referendums of ’79 and ’97. The World of Winnie Ewing

Winnie Ewing was first elected in the 1967 Hamilton by-election. She served as MP for Hamilton between and 1970. She served as MP for Moray and Nairn between February 1974 and 1979 unseating the then Conservative Secretary of State. She represented the Highlands and Islands served as an SNP MEP for between 1979 and 1999 and was MSP for the Highlands and Islands between 1999 and 2003.
